On the Day of Your Wedding at Bilsington Priory
Throughout the day, remember to share kisses with your partner, enhancing the romance and joy of the occasion but also:
- Familiarise Yourself with Holding Your Bouquet. When Ruth of House of Mimi Fleur hands your bouquet, be sure to know how to hold it elegantly, adding a touch of grace to your walk down the aisle.
- Walk Slowly Down the Aisle. Whether you are getting married in the gardens, by the Priory Porch or within the Medieval Great Hall be sure to take your time entering the ceremony space. Taking your time allows you to savour the moment and take in the beauty of the surroundings, giving your photographer, Fleur Challis Photography, a chance to capture you.
- Be Present During Your Vows Exchange. Once down the aisle, stay fully present as you exchange vows with your partner, cherishing each word and gesture. Don’t forget to hold hands and look at each other as you say I do.
- If you want your wedding cake displayed outside. Set each table leg in a pan filled with water, ensuring the legs do not touch the sides of the pan to keep ants at bay. Then, cover the food or cake with lightweight netting or chiffon, gently draping it so the edges and bottom are securely tucked under the tablecloth. This will protect against flying insects.
- Enjoy Your Canapés Without Making a Mess. We will find a quiet spot to enjoy your canapés without worrying about spills or stains on your outfits.
- Before Your Wedding Breakfast. So that you can take in the decor and styling you’ve been planning for the last 18 months or more, we always recommend a first look with your photographer before everyone sits down to eat.
At the End of the Night
- Ask your Photographer to Help Choreograph Your Sparkler Exit. Great sparkler or smoke photos don’t tend to happen; guests just need a steer. Don’t forget to get everyone ready for this particular moment, and don’t forget a sand bucket!
